Film Festival Guest Curator | with Hubert Klumpner
For the 2026 edition of the Arquiteturas Film Festival in Porto, Klearjos Eduardo Papanicolaou and Hubert Klumpner of the Chair of Architecture and Urban Design, ETHZ, curate the guest program “More-Than Cinema.” The program showcases the work of a network of artists, scholars, and filmmakers working around the theme of “more-than” cinema practices, attentive to architecture, infrastructures, atmospheres, and the more-than-human life of urban spaces through sensory methods, and internationally premieres the film “Hot Cold Wet Dry” (Papanicolaou and Kleftakis, 2026), the latest in a series of feature-length experiments in the sensory ethnographic cinema of the city.
In addition to screenings, it presents an in-situ installation and the launch of the book “Manual for Designing Urban Imaginaries,” which links the moving image to the making of urban futures through clear, practical methods. The program invites audiences to feel, question, and reimagine the city, exploring cinema that not only shows the urban world but helps make it.
